Georges Braque Still Life
From the Museum’s Collection, we will explore the painting Still Life on Red Tablecloth by Georges Braque. We will use interesting materials from home and the outdoors to assemble a still life. Then, we will draw and use watercolors to paint it from different points of view and angles.
Georges Braque (pronounced “brock”) was a French artist. Along with Pablo Picasso he developed an art movement called Cubism. One characteristic of Cubism is that artists used shapes to show objects from different angles in one image.
